Having fun with Alfonzo. Also hand fed his shy sister, who used to be so timid she wouldn't even eat if you looked at her.

I wish I could do that with my adults, yet my largest bull Isabella (and the oldest snake in my collection and the one Ive had the longest) likes to bite first and ask questions later- anything that moves in her cage is a food item! Shes not being territorial or does she hiss, shes extreemly tame but if you try to feed her with your bare hand- there will be blood on the floor and the cage- and I can attest to that when Ive been careless....

Is that her in your pic? She's a nice one!
So far so good with not getting bitten by any of my snakes, but never say never. I've been gently tasted but nobody has drawn blood yet.
yep thats her. the male I have bred her to is Ferdinand(from the children's book Ferdinand the Bull- hence why I named him that- it was a fav story of mine when I was little).

Beware of feeding snakes in the face high shelf your you rack system...took me two minutes to get my 4 foot Stillwater off my nose...wish I had the presence of mind to snap the pic then

OUCH, dude!!!
I feed mine in small tubs so the snake would have to reach up about arm's length or more to get my face. This last feeding my biggest Pacific Gonzo snagged her mouse out of my hand(holding dead mouse by tail with fingers)so enthusiastically and violently coiled around it in terminal constriction mode that I thought, Well maybe it is time to start using tongs with her!

How he had the fortitude to get the camera, find the fresh batteries(!!!)load them into the camera and get the shots is amazing!
Wow, that truly sucks! Kudos for grabbing the camera. Mine didn't hurt much at all but the looks painful!
Do you breed your own mice? I watched a couple of your other vids and see that you have quite a supply of live mice on hand. And she ate nine of them in one feeding! Do you still feed the small meals to her most of the time?

Yes, I raise my own mice. I like to feed my snakes small food no bigger than the snake's head in circumference. Although they are capable of swallowing things bigger than their heads I feel they can digest smaller multiple items better than one or two big items.
