Anery X Albino

Pithons Feb 10, 2010 06:15 PM

If I breed a visible Anery to an Albino,
Will the entire litter be both 100% het Anery and 100% het Albino. And there is no guess work about the babies being 100% het for both genes. So if any baby is bred to an Albino, half the babies will be Albino. And if any baby is bred to an Anery, half the litter will be visible Anery. Correct??

Yes, all of the babies from the albino x anery breeding will be 100% het albino and 100% het anery (sometimes known as 100% double het snow.)

If you breed one of these babies to an albino, statistically half of the babies will be albino and the other half will be 100% het albino. However, ALL of the babies will be 50% possible het anery and NOW you have guesswork.

It works the same way if you breed one of those babies to an anery. The only way to remove the "possible" from the hets would be to breed the babies to a snow, moonglow or something that is both albino and anery.

Good luck!

Yes entire litter will be het for Albino and Het for Anery

That is Double Het for Snow (DH Snow)

As you stated % should be half a litter when DH is bred to Albino or Anery

When DH Snow is bred to Albino Het Anery or Anery Het Albino
then you could see some Snow Boas
