Does anyone else think that the Blunt-nosed viper is too similar to the Milos viper for it not to be a subspecies?

Does anyone else think that the Blunt-nosed viper is too similar to the Milos viper for it not to be a subspecies?

Morphologically they seem equal, but the sp and ssp. lebetina have 25 mid body dorsal scales and his ovoviviparous reproduction
while Macrovipera scweitzeri have 23 mid body dorsal scales and his oviparus.
