just a couple new pics of Buddy from yesterday. he was hanging on the screen and i thought it would be a perfect opportunity to take a couple pics to show how fat he is

he's still a bit skittish. he'll let me pet him but if i try and take him out he'll jump away. so for now im just petting him and hand feeding him 1 piece of grape everyday and hopefully he'll calm down enough to let me take him out more

jeeze he is a fatty! in a good way! lol! HArd to tell from the pic, but is he a cuban or a rhino? Also how old? I have a skittish 2 1/2 cuban I aquired about 6 months back, so I feel your pain! I spend about twenty minutes a day holding him and petting him....I think its working somewhat...he is not constantly trying to get away or bite me lol!

haha thanks. i just got him from Ben Siegel about 3 weeks ago. i feed a mixture of turnip, collard, and mustard greens. just two at a time so i can vary it up every week. i also feed a staple of acorn squash and mango. and i mix in a little bit of red bell pepper and snow peas in every salad along with some Mazuri tortoise diet which he doesnt seem to fond of, but hopefully will start eating. every couple weeks i feed a little bit of banana and i usually give him a grape cut up in two a few times a week as well. as you can see, its working haha

revolutionmellon Feb 17, 2010 02:56 PM

I want a baby! (again! but one is enough!) He has the cutest spots right now!!!!

Here was Petranella at 9 months (awww memories)

Gary93 Feb 17, 2010 06:58 PM

Haha that's an awesome pic! Great timing! She looks huge for being 9 months. How big was she?

revolutionmellon Feb 19, 2010 06:56 PM

She wasn't that big, probably normal size. That is a kneecap she is sitting on...tiny little head.

She is 4 now, and I still don't think shes big...

You should rename him Gene.

Gary93 Feb 18, 2010 10:42 AM

Why Gene? I already named him Buddy

You might also try blueberries. While she likes grapes, Kismet will literally run across the room to come get a blueberry.
