i had one try to eat himself after he dropped the pinkie...started trying to eat himself right around where he'd coiled the pinkie.

Ive had a few try to eat themselves but never the tongues. i guess the ones ive had dont have the super super feeding response as the tweezer eaters lol.

I've had some 5 footers do that. Kind of a pain to get them to let go.

shadylady Feb 17, 2010 07:15 PM

and he would not let go for a long time. That one should have been on video, LOL!

A little Captain Morgan on a q-tip near (or in) the mouth has worked wonders in getting snakes to quickly let go during a couple hand-feeding moments (which turned out to be literal). The snakes quickly recovered from their distaste of rum to consume the proffered rodents right away.

I've had a few thumb swallowers in my day! And I prefer a lot of Captain Morgans' in a tall glass, but how does my drinking get snakes to release, exactly? I know if I've had enough, I release the snake completely!
