Question for anyone who breeds caramels

serpentmorphs Feb 17, 2010 03:58 PM

What are you most common problems? I heard they are one of the more problematic morphs to breed. Im just trying to compare notes and see how many other people are having the same problems.

The only "problem" I've herd of is the possibility of spinal kinks in a percentage of offspring. In my experience this is relatively rare and confined only to the homozygous morph itself and not to hets. It's like the spider "head wobble"- a genetic drawback of an otherwise beautiful and desirable morph.

Other than that, breeding them is entirely straightforward and does not differ from any other ball breeding.
