I'm going to post a pic of the first striped bloodred that hatched out in 2001. She was born with a gray head and a fully striped body.Over time she has reddened and gradually lost most traces of the stripes, as would be expected by the bloodred influence. Her parents are a normal female and anery father, both het for blood & striped. Last year these two produced two more striped bloods and a ghost, so there is also a hypo gene lurking in the background somewhere. This year the same two produced a pair of anery striped bloods, pics of which were posted earlier this summer. I just got a late clutch from crossing this 2001 striped blood back to her father, and the results are all over the map. Of 17 hatchlings, 14 are bloods, which doesn't make sense (a blood to a het should get 50/50) and the patterns are highly variable and unusual - from striped to faded patterns to almost patternless. I'm going to post some of the hatchlings also to show some of the variations.
