MY FAVORITE FL KING MORPH BY FAR

JTColubrids Feb 18, 2010 09:26 PM

These guys simply RULE!!! The jet black eyes on a chocolate and purplish blue body make Axanthics the bomb! Hope you enjoy!

This first group of pix are plain old Lemkes that came from Tom Stevens. The parents were both awesome plain Lemkes and are my very favorite snakes in my king collection... JUST LOOK AT THESE THINGS!!!!!

Some from Zenny that have speckeled out a bit more:

Next is a New England line Axanthic that has some PB influence. Also are pix of it compared to a Lemke from Rainer and a SWEET Anery from sulfur produced by Tom Stevens.

NE and Anery

NE and Lemke

Stay with me, sorry for all the pix but I am just obsessed with these Axanthics! haha

Lastly are some examples of what can be combined with this awesome trait in order to make other INSANE looking FL Kings

PEWTER- PB or JELLY x AXANTHIC (HOPEFULLY WE WILL FIND OUT FOR SURE SOON)PRODUCED BY RAINER WEISHAUPL

WS AXANTHIC OBTAINED FROM MARK GABLE, I BELIEVE PRODUCED BY ISIS
WHITESIDE X AXANTHIC

PAIR OF GHOSTS FROM ZENNY (FEMALE THEN MALE)
HYPO X AXANTHIC

GHOSTS PRODUCED BY ISIS
HYPO X AXANTHIC

123 GHOST FROM RAINER- HYPO X AXANTHIC (AXANTHIC GRANDPARENT WAS A NEW ENGLAND)

FINALLY LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE WS GHOST PRODUCED BY TOM STEVENS!
WHITESIDE X HYPO X AXANTHIC TRIPLE HOMOZYGOTE

That's all for now, hope I didn't put anyone to sleep. Thanks for looking!!!

Nice I would have never known they were Floridas. Ofcourse wild one's around here aren't going to look like that lol. I rarely see them but drab looking .

Those are very nice.

Those are sweet! NONE of my axanthics have EVER missed a meal even when they go into shed! The double and triple morphs are a bit pickier it seems

Thanks.....At least you still have some axanthics.....
I like their blue coloration the most.....

All I ever had were some normals, Amels, Hypos, Striped Hypos and the Axanthics....That was before they were such a "hot item"....and before the PBandJs.......lol

I am contemplating getting some more Floridana since my wife likes them so much.......Every time we go to Daytona she loves to look at the Floridana Floridana available....especially at Rainer's table.....hahaha
Maybe this year in Daytona we will acquire some again.....We'll see.....I kinda like the Sulfur Lavenders.....and peweters and ghosts....lol

I'll be there this year, maybe with a table if I get lucky and most of my snakes produce. Also, tomorrow or this weekend I'm going to post some more odds and ends and some are striped hypos and sulfer lavs. Got the striped hypos from Tom Stevens and this or next season they will go, depending on if the male decides to actually do something haha

Those Lemkes really turned out nice. What an awesome group and great pics too!. I wanna see more of the BHB Anery and WS Ghost! I am jealous! I miss that WS Ghost and also that super killer Blaze cross but hopefully I will produce some more over the top stuff this season. Good luck with everything!

You know I think I am gonna be on an axanthic kick this year too...

After i saw you post i started taking out some of my axanthics and Ghosts and ooogling them. I think I like!

I just can't warm up to the Anerys except as a ingredient added to make other things. There is just something about anerys that scream NORTHERN Florida.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

We have kings around here (Florida) but NOTHING like those lol. I would not have known they were Florida kings till reading the other post.

Real nice

i see your "pewter" turning out pretty blue, and different than Rainer's.... Time will tell... i actually see this snake diff now that i see this pic... i can see the Axanthic-Jelly look.... gotta be honest the eyes remind me of some snows (Axan-Lav) i've seen.

love how the male ghost turned out! (Axanthics turned out pretty sweeeet too)

I got his guy lined up for this season... his 1st time... hope he gets the job done! Hard to capture his color, he's blue but he's pretty light blue almost WHITE!
