Hello,
I have 2 female boas that are ovulating right now, and could possibley be gravid. I have had them in with a male for months now, off and on (never the 2 females together with the male, just swapping him back and forth for 2 weeks at a time) He's been CRAZY with courting both of them, but I haven't seen them locked up.
One of my females, I noticed has been on the heater a lot more then usual. She also turned down food 2 weeks ago. However, she did eat yesterday. I'm hoping she's gravid. Do females usually eat when they're prego? She refused 2 weeks ago and I was SO excited because she's never turned down a meal, but ate yesterday. I think 2 weeks ago is when she started ovulating. Still wouldn't give my male any play.
My 2nd female is CLEALY ovulating right now, and refused food yesterday. My 1st female ate like a pig last night (she got the rat female #2 refused).
Is it safe to assume that when a female is starting their cycle they don't eat? Or is it just coinsidence, and behavior varies snake to snake?
Fingers crossed, this is the year! Female #1 is a 9 foot virgin and 100% het albino. My male is a 4 foot Dh sunglow. Female #2 is a 6 foot gorgeous BCI. Not pastel or anything "special", but SUPER pink and lavender. I've been trying for years to get babies, but the girls just don't seem into my guy at all =(. I sure think he's handsome, I don't know what their problem is!
