Okay, who wants to take a guess?

In the back of my husband's store, we found 3 baby *somethings*.

They are about as long as my pinky, including their tails. They are an overall brownish color, with black striped (racoon style) tails. They seem to change color. When on a white surface they were a pale brownish pastel, with a reddish mottled pattern. When on a stick, they turned a dark brown color, with dark spots matching the stick, and itty bitty tiny white dots appeared along the sides of one of them.

However they do not look like chameleons, at least the kind I see in the store, with the eyes that rotate oddly and the humped back.

These have a sort of "classic" reptile body, like a teeny tiny alligator. They are VERY active and quick, and can climb. But I get the feeling they are really young. They just seem to be so fragile and delicate.

We bought the smallest crickets we could find, which were still more than 1/4 inch in size. But one of these guys ate one! It took him a long time but he did it. After he ate he licked his mouth!

Their eyes are black, and huge.

We are in Central Arkansas. I've ordered some wingless fruit flies online.

Thanks for any idea's,

Jessica

Yes! That is what they look like, only MUCH smaller. Thank you for posting

I was online all day yesterday and I too had finally decided they were mediterranean gecko's. It took a LONG time to figure it out. The adults do not have striped tails so that threw me off for awhile.

I posted in the Gecko forum, because I still cannot find a care sheet for them. Any idea's?

If you want I could send you a care sheet for them that I made. Just post your e-mail I guess.
