I have to say.....

RandyWhittington Feb 19, 2010 07:42 PM

the great tips, ideas and direct experience people have given on this forum over the last few days are what makes it a great forum for the new and advanced ratsnake keeper alike. The trading of such a wide range of direct experience is invaluable in my opinion.
With that being said, I want to apologise to everyone, especially Ameron for my comment below. It was childish and not what this forum is about.

I logged in last night to see quite the thread in response to my "he died" post. I immediately saw that the ENTIRE thread was placed off limits, and was later completely removed.

I'm not sure whether the Webmaster felt that some comments violated Terms of Agreement due to my having named a dealer by name, or from subsequent comments viewed as being too caustic.

Now I'll never know what supportive, unbiased, helpful comments you had posted following the loss of my animal. I regret that. All that I know is that you felt a need to apologize after an entire thread has been censored.

Perhaps you could send those prior comments to me by private message via this Forum? After all, you are free of any nameless resentment and simply wish to see me improve my condition as a fellow Human Being, correct?

I look forward to hearing from you...

I made a post I shouldn't have which I am sorry for. I'd rather not repeat it, even in private as I shouldn't have made it in the fist place. I immediatly contacted the forum administrator and asked if only my post could be removed as it was inappropriate. It was removed and I would assume it brought the initial post to attention which as you mentioned breaks the TOS.

I appreciate your sincerity and the remedial action you took.

I responded rather hastily & caustically, which I also regret.

Water under bridge, I will think of it no more...

(Something really neat came out of this. Someone contacted me offering to replace my rat snake, with exceptional terms. It made my day.)

Didn't see that post Randy but whatever it said, this statement demonstrates an active sense of introspectiion, self-adjustment and admirable courage. That's the best any of use can do. Everyone screws up, it's what we do with it that counts most!

Yeah, Randy I've posted a few things on here that I wished I hadn't. It's how you handle it afterwards that counts. You handled the right way.
