Hey all thanks, but still need some help

mikesik Feb 20, 2010 01:03 AM

Good news. I posted a while back about a feisty respiratory problem in my collection. Long story short, after quarantining and REALLY keeping optimum conditions my animals have just about recovered. The problem was as i increased temperature with my room heater the dryer room was aggravating the respiratory problem and making it worse.

Anyway, the rest of my collection has been breeding quite a bit. I NEVER could really feel follicles developing and/or suck at it. Now, my guys have been breeding for months now ( i started the cool early november and am already warming up). At this point I should be able to feel follicles right? I've done it before and "think" i've felt them, and seen it done properly but I don't feel any...I really hope i just stink at it.

At least my ackies have some eggs brewing.thanks guys.

Try putting a pillowcase or t-shirt over your hand when you palpate. It reduces friction and makes it easier to feel the follicles. I had the same problem, but then I read about this technique on Bush League and was suddenly able to feel follicles in all my girls. Good luck.
