Here is a pic of my Leuc Viv. It is starting to grow in nicely and the plants are coloring up. This viv. is about 2 months old.

Anyone else have pics you would like to share??

If it requires humidity count me out. The best I could do is have the bathroom door closed while taking a shower :O)~

We are dryer up here than you are! In the summer months we are lucky to hit 10%. These cages do great at room temperature and just about any ambient humidity. The cage itself has a few small vents that can be covered if more humidity is required. It has a waterfall in the background, and the whole floor sits on top of 3" of water and gravel. All of this water along with the light on top, keep the temps in the mid 70's and the humidity at 70-80%. I was hesitant to get into them for years because I thought they would be a pain and I wouldn't be able to get the humidity right, but I have now found that they are one of the most enjoyable, simple to maintain systems out there. They are almost self sufficient. There are tiny micro fauna that live in the substrate that break down frog feces, dead food items, dead plants and mold. This adds nutrients to the water, which feeds the plants. All you have to do is prune the plants, make sure there is enough water in the tank and spray it down occasionally. And feed the frogs of course. I culture my own flightless fruit flies for the frogs. That's actually pretty cool too. Its like having a little 8 cubic foot section of South America in your living room..
