Creamsicle Tree Frogs

Camo19 Sep 20, 2003 04:55 PM

Hi everyone! This is my first post on this forum. On any of the forums for that matter. I don't have any reptiles but am wanting to get some in the near future so I have been checking out all sorts of different reptiles. I was looking at a site that sells reptiles and happened to come across a creamsicle tree frog. Does anyone on this board have one of these? If so, can you give me any information on them? They're so cool and I am curious to know more about them! Ok, thanks everyone. -Camo19

Hmmmmmm, I checked out that link but the description doesn't fit with the same one I saw. I went back to the site where I found it at but it's no longer there, they must have taken it off their site. I do have a pic of it, though...Not sure how to post pics on here. It was around 1" long and the body was a cream/translucent color and the color on the toes decended to a light pink to a dark pink, almost red color. Sound familiar? Lol...Not sure if they come in different colors or not, but the site called it a creamsicle tree frog. Thanks for the link, though. Oh, and um....Yeah, yeah, that's what I meant. Amphibians...Reptiles and amphibians, lol. -Camo19

Creamsicle Tree Frogs or Hyperolius parkeri are Reed Frogs. There are MANY different colors in this group. They are very small froggies, usually a max of an inch and a half. I've been wanting a few myself.

Check the Kingsnake classifieds, there have been a few breeders as of late listing avilable reeds, though you may have a bit of work ahead of you finding a creamsicle.

Ok, thanks dubumb and ellasmommie for the information. The place that I had seen them was on the LLLReptile site (I think) but they're no longer there. If you're wanting to get some ellasmommie, you might want to e-mail that site and ask them about them. I definately want some. -Camo19

Yeah, LLL is where I had seen them as well. They have sold out. I can't get any more froggies until after we move into our new house and get settled in anyway. Actually, Hubby says no more froggies... but I'm working on him LOL
