update on my frilled dragon+some pics!!!

johndoe10688 Sep 20, 2003 05:02 PM

I got my frilled dragon a month or so ago. He was about nine inches and now he is 13"-14" or so! Also I am posting a few a few pics...maybe you guys could try to guess if it's a boy or girl even though it's hard to tell. I got him to frill by showing him the oposite end of a light bulb. I heard it worked for someone here and it did for me too. I won't do it to much though cauz it's stressfull right? I have feed him a couple pinkies and i was wondering how often is safe/good to feed them pinkies???He seems to like them. So i'll post a couple pics on a couple messages cauz i don't know how to post multiple pics.
Thanks!!!
John

Nice looking Frilled there! What's his name? He seems pretty tame, I wish mine would be a bit more confidence about coming out side of his cage, even though I have only had it for a week or so...

I was wondering how long it was until your Frilled started getting used to you and was coming out of his cage and exploring?

Thanks! His/her name is ozzy. At first it always ran away when i put my hand in the cage, but after about 2 weeks it let me pick him up with no problem. But when he's out he will sit on my hand for about a minute and then he jumps on my arm, shoulder, head, etc. But i don't like him on my head because he always chews on my hair....lol. Then he jumps off me and explores around my room....under supervision of course. But i guess it is typical for them to want to jump around and not stay in one place for too long.

Thanks for the advice, nice name!

I just came back from misting Knuckles, and he's still frightened of me, although he loves misting and cricket time (with tweezers at the mo, he still won't take from my hand yet). The weird thing is, is that a couple of days ago he was ok when I picked him up but was completely still, and now he won't even let me go near him... he goes crazy!

Since he is still very young and not very territorial, I put a mirror infront of him for some company since he came from a group of Frilleds in the store, and he seemed to enjoy it, he didn't Frill at it/himself or anything!
