scales and infared thermometers...

ooanwfndglryoo Sep 20, 2003 05:20 PM

Hi guys...I was wondering where and what kind are good to get. I need to get a scale ASAP because I would like to keep a chart on my beardies growth and I was wondering where I would be able to find a digital gram incrament weight scale for her and a infared thermometer to get a accurate reading on her basking spot. Thanks

I actually got my digital scale in Walmart or k-mart, along with a digital thermometer with a probe. Scale was about 30 bucks which is not bad for a digital scale. It weighs in pounds, grams, and ounces, and the digital therm with a probe was around 12 bucks. These type of thermometers have a probe attached to a wire that can be put in the enclosure and attached to the basking spot. You can also get something called a temp gun which is what I assume you mean by inferred? These I saw at radio shack, and also proexotics.com has them for a little more money than the radio shack kind. You can see my scale pictured in the below post.
