CHE's and Dimmers?

Are CHE's ok to use with dimmers?

Of course you can.

You can use a lamp dimmer on any heat pad, heat cable, CHE, RHP or incandescent light of appropriate wattage.

Just don't use it on anything with a transformer in it (as in fluorescent fixtures) or with fans (space heaters) or motors (air conditioners).

Expanding a bit, they do make dim capable ballasts, but generally ballasts are not dim capable. Same goes with compact florescent or MVB, or other self ballasting bulb... there are dim capable versions. I haven't seen a dim capable MVB's but why would you want too...
