ok i like the look of translucents, but my question is as the baby dragon grows, does the amount of translucence that the dragon displays change over time? i want to purchase a baby, but from pictures, you can hardly tell the amount of translucence that the dragon has...should i go by the parents? any thoughts would be greatly appcreciated cause i want to buy my dragon soon.. thanks in advance...

Just like with standard color morphs the color/pigment is always magnified when they are younger due to constant shed. Translucent's colors will fade over time but NOT THE TRANSLUCENT part of them. You may use it's parents as a color reference but the "visual appearance" of the one you have, or will be buying is the most importance. Some Translucents are MORE trans. than others. Some may have all clear/gummy looking spikes but not solid black eyes, some will have one black and the other eye looks normal. They eyes change over to solid black at 2-4 weeks.

One of ours has a solid Bright Blue/Purple belly... One of our others has a tint of green on the stomach, but not much at all. Sometimes the side spikes are not clear and may be NEON RED... That is a rare trait and is beautiful in my opinion.

In good color morphs, color should not fade.
