I thought you were going to FEED me!

NO! I don't wanna!

Finished product! Whew...
Not actually holding her in death grip! LOL! She finally gave up and let me take her picture, and was rewarded with a big fat mouse.

Thanks! She is getting really big, too. I hope to maybe breed her in a couple years to one of my striped Pacific males. The males are tiny 09's so everybody has to do some growing first.
Cool Snake!!!!! Really like the yellow and orange coloration. Good luck with her.

Wow, really nice Pacific!
I've found more than my share of "muddy looking" Pacific Gophers - that one is really nice!

Thanks everyone for the nice comments!

This is Lorenzo, the 08 male of a pair of Pacifics. Lorenzo's sister is the same size as him.
He weighs about 250+ grams.
Gonzo the big female in the lightbox pic weighs 520+ grams. She is only two months older than him. She eats no matter what whereas he and his sister go off feed for a while in the winter. I thought they would make pretty babies; I like the bright reddish well defined saddles. So in a couple years maybe I will be able to pair them up.
Beautiful animals. Thanks for sharing.

Zigzag, one of my 09 Pacific stripers, het for a bunch of neat stuff. Also have a pair like this from Envy. As you can see, Zigzag has some major growing to do before he will be having any romantic encounters!
Pint cottage cheese moss hide to show size scale.
Thanks for looking and enjoying my babies.
when you do, I'll take two!

Along with their pretty colors both Gonzo and Lorenzo are very tame, allowing me to hand feed them from the time they were tiny babies. If personality characteristics are inheritable as well as physical traits, I would expect the offspring to be more tame also.

Zumbida, Lorenzo's sister, doing her ball python impression! LOL! She stayed in this position throughout the photo shoot. She is a shy girl but not unfriendly.
ERROR!
This is Zoey, one of the baby bulls! I goofed!

Here are Lorenzo and Zumbida, him on the left and her on the right from last August. I have since separated them as I don't want them to breed; he may be old enough but she is for sure not and also they are siblings, which I don't want to breed together, as there is no special gain involved.
Pyro,
You have some very attractive gophers and it is very uplifting to see you having a lot of fun with the hobby with all the photos, the creativity of the photos and your regular posts. Keep em coming...
Thanks, Pit_Fan!
This hobby is the best cure for chronic anxiety I have ever found. Being mentally absorbed with all the details concerning keeping my reptiles distracts my mind from worry.

Zigzag the gopher checks out Snakezoid the King. I got a lot of flack about this photo until people realized they are not in the same tank! The tanks were temporarily placed together to get them out of the way for house cleaning. Snakezoid became disgusted when he realized he could not reach Zigzag through the glass, and he went into his hide in a huff, tail buzzing.
Wow! All very cleanly patterned beautiful snakes. Some of the best looking Pacifics I've seen yet. They're sure to produce some stunning offspring for you. Do you have locale info on any of them?
reako45
I don't know what locale they came from. I got Gonzo from Lodi, Lorenzo and his sister from Florida, a pair of the stripers from Utah, the other striper from Los Angeles; not exactly official locales! LOL!
Actual locales:
I have a pair of blotched babies from the Santa Cruz Mountains in California:

female 09. Also have brother, looks the same.

WC 08 Pacific female (rescued from cat April 09) Motherload, Sierra Nevada foothills.
