Nice!! I think you caught the herp bug bad LOL!! I can't wait for the Alario show in Westwego this June. I went to a show in Mobile, AL this past weekend and saw some nice things. Nothing I needed LOL!!

Yessir, I got the bug. Lol three is my limit -for now-, but I am very happy with what I have now.

Hey, on a side note, maybe you and I can hook up to goto the show in westwego. I don't know much about herp shows, so I'd like to go with someone that knows what the hell is goin on. I'll drag my wife with me, so maybe she'll find a snake she likes lol.

Hey guys I grew up in New Orleans! I had fun herping as a kid there. Let me know if you see any local breeders selling Southern Louisiana Speckled Kings would ya? Maybe get there website for me. I need to get a male local specific preferably from New Orleans/Slidell area but I would sttle for any southern region. By the way nice Okeetee! I have quite a few myself.

Jorge, I have never seen a WC or CB speck for sale at the LA herp shows, believe it or not. I quess there is just no market or its too easy to catch your own around here if you know where to look. I might be able to hook you up later this year. I traded off a couple of yearling WC females several months ago that I acquired last sprinkg, and usually have one or two pass through my hands in the spring/summer.

That would be cool! I purchased what was supposed to be a pair last year and they are two females. I'm not too upset with two females but I want a male from that area. I went to the website which had all the merchants attending the show last year in New Orleans and none listed the specks on their sites. Makes me wonder if Louisiana has not passed some law to protect them. I used to see them in pet shops all the time down there. Yeah I would be grateful if you would let me know. I know Isis reptiles have Louisiana specks but they are yellow. Very pretty but I have the creamy white on black ones.

Thanks! I wish I still had him! Jeff

I like the local shows. Good selection for the most part, good prices, no shipping charges, and you can talk with the vendors personally. Many produced the animals offered for sale. The downside is TOO much being offered at great prices and you can wind up with a whole lot of critters you are not sure of what to do with or why you got them if you get out of control!!! LOL!! I will shoot you an email later.
