Thread was a little far down.

Just my opinion, but I think a 30 gallon would be fine for an adult Pyromelana. Also I saw a few interesting ones in the classifieds that might be worth checking out (don't know any of the sellers)

There are others here that probably have more experience with them than I do, theres also a lot of Pyro fans on the Kingsnake Forum with TONS of experience.

Good luck. and take your time. it will be well worth it and there are no real shortages of them if your willing to be choosy (think you should be)

Stunning snake.

Thanks we went today by pet store that had 2 small one's .
Very pretty but unsexed and owner doesn't sex them as he told us to dangerous to sex a baby and I have no idea how nor would ever attempt it.
I have been reading about them and will initially go with 10 gallon for a baby as they seem to do better than 30 gallon long tank first yr.

I will never breed him/her but just prefer to know the sex .

There is a reptile show coming up so will try there if not will order online. I have always been afraid to order live animal online as prefer to see the animal in person.

Thanks

good luck with it. As I said before,I think you might be better off with an olser animal initially but others might chime in with different thoughts. Whatevver you do have fun. I think you will like them.
