I just found out they are one of the corporate sponsors. I'll be closing my accounts tomorrow. I'll tell them why.

For those who bank there... Close your accounts and tell them why

Don't accept checks from people who bank there. Tell them why.

Let's get the list of all HSUS corporate sponsors and boycott them until they move their charitable donations to groups that actually help animals like the ASPCA.

Boycott these companies, but give them good options if they want. The ASPCA or any local Animal Shelter is a good option. I would stay with BofA if they were to change to herp friendly charities.

Looking at the IRS form 990 from 2008 (latest available), the SPCA (which is different from the ASPCA as far as I can tell) received help from The HSUS. In fact, if you go to the website of the particular location of the SPCA at:
SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS - 3200 SW 4TH
AVE - FORT LAUDERDALE, FL 33315
You'll see that they're actually affiliated. So, if you live in Ft. Lauderdale, don't recommend this PARTICULAR place.

I applaud you guys for switching! Hopefully at a minimum, it would make some big guys scratch their heads in confusion. Anything more would get them to stand up and take notice!

So that is why Petco and Petsmart won't help us....they sponsor them!

I pointed out a while back the fact that Petco and Petsmart had very open and lucrative agreement's / partnerships with the HSUS and Peta, considering how heavily the largest reptile breeder, manufactures etc. Depend on Petco and Petsmart it will be VERY hard to know who to trust if and when the time comes...............people might have certain feelings about what they would want but at the end of the day business is business.

Petco here locally has handed out pre-written letters, supported local reptile rescues and allowed me to stand in their store on several occasions to talk about S373 and HR2811 and even as far back as HR669!

Going in there and speaking with a manager may help. I have a bit of an in, because the store here sponsors my reptile rescue and let me tell you they give me complete and entire freedom.

I can't believe that people still bank with Bank of America, they have the worlds worst customer service!

I closed my accounts... well, I kept the checking open until I get my auto deposit and bill payers changed to my new bank. I've been banking with them for most of my adult life. I closed a line of credit that was barely over 3%. Closed the Free Safety Deposit Box.

My next door neighbor decided to close his account when I told him the story.

How many accounts do we need to get closed to make them stop supporting the HSUS? Do we take this to every forum we frequent? What do you guys think?

I JUST bought a new pc. I was waffling back and forth about what to get, Mac or PC. Had I known this, I would have purchased a Mac.

we do not accept BOA cards with the HSUS little cute kitty and puppy on it for over a year. I have had three people change their cards when they were informed them that the pup is cute, but in reality they dont want you to own your reptile or any other animal.
