I need a thermostat to hook to a window A/C. Is there a good brand that will work for this? There are plenty that work with heaters. Can these be set to use on A/Cs?

The Johnson Controls A419 can be wired for cooling.

I've only used the Ranco and only for heating...I get mine from climate doctors, but PEX supply is good too. I've had two burn out on me in 6 yrs of using.

I always look for the best price and what shipping is. Sometime you can find them on sale. Also I don't pay tax cause neither of them are in my state. Always important.

The Ranco is cheaper only by a few bucks than the the Johnson A419.

You'd be happy with either.
