all-star salad!

Gary93 Feb 27, 2010 11:02 AM

its saturday and i just chopped up all of buddys food for the next couple weeks, so i figured id give him an awesome salad!
has collard and turnip greens, butternut squash, okra, red bell pepper, cantelope, honeydew, strawberry, watermelon, grapes, mango. theres only like 1 piece of each of the fruit in there (except the mango cuz its a staple)
also 1 crushed Mazuri pellet, still trying to get him to eat them :headscra:

I would back off on the fruit and feed more green and yellow veggies as in nature they rarely get fruit at all. Mazuri Tortoise Chow [moist] and Iguana chow may be used as a substitute. Your lizard if fed a diet high in fruit will prefer it and over time be reluctant to eat what's really good for it. Fruit will cause the stool to be a bit more runny and is just plain not the best thing to feed if that diet you posted is standard fare. Once a week is fine to feed like that but not as a standard diet....
