Egg Nesting for Female Ball

thunderpaws Feb 27, 2010 03:04 PM

My female just had her pre egg laying shed. I use news paper and I want to give her a bed to use for her eggs. I was going to put in Spagnum Moss about 14 days before she lays. But would it be better to put it in now? I am very aware that I have to do nothing more, but I really want her to have a bedding to lay her eggs. Thanks for any advice on this matter.

Bill I did that last year about 2 weeks out and it worked well for the females I did it for. My thought was that the female could sort of move the moss around and get situated before she laid. All most all moved the moss to the left rear corner.
