Rick Perry says...

jscrick Mar 03, 2010 06:01 AM

Having won the Republican Primary in Texas, Governor Rick Perry said, "This proves Conservativism has never been stronger [in America] than it is today and we're taking our country back".
Perry won the election outright with 51% of the vote, without requiring a runoff, defeating Texas Senator Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and Debra Medina.

Not good news for us Texas herpers-besides his ethical problems, he's been NO friend to herpers, turning a deaf ear to our appeals on the Road Ban and the regulation on large constrictors.

I'm not a big Rick Perry fan, either. The point being meant for the AR folks that read these forums. Perry made a huge comeback, defeating early favorite Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson by running against "Washington". Perry had huge support from "Tea Baggers".
Perry made reference to previous elections in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Virginia in the previous quote.

Here's a new bill by two republicans.
You'd better decide are you a republican, democrat or a reptile owner?
I'm a reptile owner.

Probably means you are somewhere in the middle. Imagine that.

voodoomagik Mar 04, 2010 12:59 PM

You got it!

This is a wake-up call that partisanism isn't going to help us. The republicans and the democrats won’t either unless there’s money involved. We’d better pull it together YESTERDAY if we’re going to come out of this one okay.

Republican, democrat or whatever, you’re my friend if HSUS and S373 are your enemies.

Maybe I wasn't clear, or maybe you just missed my point. As I stated, I'm not a Rick Perry fan.

The point being -- the professional politicians in Washington should take note of the fact that liberals are loosing their jobs in dramatic fashion lately...by people that don't care for the high handed "we know whats best for you" mentality in D.C.

So, if they get the message and want to keep their jubs, then they better throttle back on the Big Brother knows whats best ideology.

Then again, on the other hand, if they really do believe in their cause(s), enough so that they are willing to sacrifice their jobs for their principles, then I applaud them for their political courage and conviction. And wish them well in their new endeavors.

Hey, John!
I'm sorry-I didn't mean YOU personally. I think that's my fault.
I just meant that we shouldn't let them draw us into in-fighting. There are many people that believe that it's a "party" issue and I think that kind of thinking does what they want. It weakens us and divides us.
If we can't be our own friends, then I'm afraid we may have none!
Hope I didn't offend you, my FRIEND!
