FEEDING PROBLEM!?!?!?

hognosedude11 Mar 03, 2010 10:54 AM

I have a 1 year old female normal. She has not fed in maybe a month or shed in even longer. She is about 22 inches long. not sure on her weight cause i havent found a gram scale yet. So what could be the problem?

A month isnt very long for her to go without eating so I wouldnt be to worried at this point. If the cage temps have dropped any that will naturally make her go off food. I would buy a digital scale. They can go without eating for a couple of months. If you have a scale you can watch her wait loss. If she looses a lot of weight you need to worry. I got one on amazon for $6 after shipping cost. My male will randomly not eat for a month every year.

Give us a rundown of how you are keeping her... Cage type, cage size, cage set up, temps, humidity, what she was feeding on before the stopped eating... Stuff like that... Just asking why she is not feeding is not enough to yeild a proper answer...

Mine will go off feed intermittently as well. I have experienced this many times with otherwise healthy hogs
