Loves Vaccums?

Bayzow Mar 05, 2010 02:46 PM

For those of you with in-home Cycluras; pets more than breeders- I have to ask this. Does your Iguana love your vacuum? This sounds really odd I know, but maybe it's not as rare as I think. Medium story short, Mine loves the vacuum. In fact, without going into detail, wants to REALLY GET TO KNOW IT. Like biblically know it. Chases it all over the house, not tail-whipping or anything, just real... happy. Interested to know if this is more common than I would imagine? I thought the sound would bother him if anything. Nope.

It's red, if that matters.

Petra really likes to lay under my pillows- Alot. So much so that if she is crawing around and I decide to move to another spot and get a new stack of pillows, she will find them.

I haven't tryed to vaccum but man does she love pillows.

OK this story may venture into the TMI format, but yes I have had an iguana that was in love with my shop vac. He never experienced a normal breeding season per say but would feel amorous towards me (I am female) ohhhh once a month for about 5 days. REALLY amorous. Thinking that I could use the vac hose as a distraction, I stuck it into the cage and began cleaning the floor while I carefully opened his door to put the food in. He latched on to the hose and had his way with it. This worked like a charm while I had him. Every month while feeding or changing water, I would put it in and turn it on. He would have his way with it and I could safely maneuver in his cage.
