~ A Happy Hopi ~

eve Sep 20, 2003 10:23 PM

Hopi is happy again , her bites from the sex crazed Zuni are all healed and her little foot is fine. She does appear to be gravid again, she just layed 6 eggs, 3 weeks ago, but I think Zuni forced her to mate again, the day he bite her. This pic was irresistable, I had to snap it, great mouth and tongue, Eve

Great pic! She looks cute. Poor thing. 3 clutches in one year. Wow, it's gonna be a while before you brumate her. Have to wait for her to lay eggs & then replenish all her fat stores. Hmm. I wonder if Squig & Siona are mating. Well good luck with the eggs. & how's Chia doing? Kristin

# clutches is pretty normal for wild lizards outside Kristin. But I do not want to over do it my any of my girls, so she will not mate in the spring. Chia is still enormous, I'm waiting , I have observed it is longer for vestiguim to lay than collaris. Atleast with Chia it takes longer. Have you noticed any shananagans going on, LOL

Actually, poor Siona has been barely coming out of her cave because as soon as she starts, Squig is waiting for her. So I decided to separate them & put her in Squig's old cage since she hasn't been able to come out or anything. When I pulled her out, she did have some bite marks on the back of her neck. No orange spots though. She's starting to get a little skinny so hopefully this'll make everything better & I can reintroduce them this spring. Wish me luck, Kristin
