Snake Breeding Advice? *^_^*

XpleromaX Mar 09, 2010 05:10 PM

I'm currently considering breeding snakes for a fun hobby, as well as possibly a way to supplement my income. (I live in Indiana, and a few extra thousand dollars a year would go a long way.)

I'm considering breeding womas, as they seem like good candidates for profitable breeding, as well as being extremely desirable as pets. I'm also considering the more expensive corns.

Are there any breeds you'd especially recommend other then those? I'm looking for breeds that are relatively small, easy to care for and breed, and expensive enough to be profitable. (not trying to be greedy, just trying to supplement my income and justify making costly investments.)

also any advice about breeding or links or books I can read to help get me started?

also any advice on cutting costs? i'm wondering how i can keep electric bills low as well as making reasonably cheap housing.

just any advice is really welcome. once again i'm not doing this just for pure profit, i love snakes/tarantulas, and just want to make my hobby into something more sustainable.
