Finally Got My BRB's

Paul_D Mar 09, 2010 10:19 PM

Hey everyone. I've been reading this forum for years, but now I finally get to post because I got my BRB's today. I've been raising Dumeril's Boas for about 6 years, and I'm thrilled to say I took the plunge and bought 6 Rainbow Boas from Dave Colling. Dave, I really appreciate your patience with my endless stream of questions. You've been a wealth of knowledge. The snakes look even better in person than they did on your website. I've named 2 of my snakes so far, but I'm working on names for the other 4.

Apollo

Artemis

Unnamed Female Cage 3

Unnamed Male Cage 4

Unnamed Female Cage 5

Unnamed Female Cage 6

Lazarus Long

Cleopatra

Thanks,

Paul D

Thanks guys. Apollo is easily my favorite of the bunch. Cliff, I believe he's actually the brother of a female that you got from the Tink/Phoenix litter. I'm thinking of calling my Cage 4 male Helios. What do you guys think? Here are a few more pics of Helios...

Thanks Aubrey. I've caught my Dumeril's getting busy a few time recently, and I'm getting my hopes up that they'll produce my first litter of babies this year

"She-who-glows-in-the-dark," was a stunner when she was a baby. I would have bribed Dave to let me have her, but he's far too honest :P I'd love to see a current picture of her now that she's had a few sheds.

Thanks Paul. BTW, I love the way you have your rainbow enclosure set up. I keep both my Dumerils in the same cage, and it's fun to watch them interact with each other. I'm really impressed with all the details you've worked into their cage with the painted background and 3D landscape. That combined with the fact that your boas are stunning makes a truly awesome display.

You know those glow-in-the-dark fish you can buy -- the ones that have been injected with fluorescent dye?.......and even better, the ones that have been genetically engineered to be fluorescent?.....
