Breeding Success

stevenxowens792 Sep 21, 2003 01:16 AM

I have read many of the websites "how to breed" Ball Pythons...
I was curious of forum members' experiences. Has anyone purchased a cheap pair and got them to breed? With hundreds of thousands of Ball Pythons imported to the US each year, I find it hard to believe that most female WC's would not breed at all. I could be wrong though. The reason I ask is I recently purchased a pair and I don't know if they are WC or CB. I probed them, and one animal probed 10 scales, and the other 3. Sounds like a pair. Any thoughts or advise would be great.
I keep them with a hide box, water dish, etc... Have not introduced food yet. Would like to let them acclimate a while.

Thanks for your time,

Steven Owens

Your biggest challenge is to get them eating regularly, especially the girl. Once you get enough fat on your female she should breed with no problem. Continue with your research and you should be fine... Have Fun! -Oz
