Greenish Ratsnake Morph Breeding

Godfrey Mar 11, 2010 01:50 PM

It's been a long wait but the W/C greenish ratsnake I caught four years ago has just bred with a female het he produced in '08. There are three more het females lined up for him. If all goes well I should hatch visuals by the end of June.

Congratulations!!,......

Yes, I remember that snake from a good while back. That is one VERY cool and unique morph you found!

What are you going to be calling them?, "lavender" albinos? From what I can see, it looks to be what is considered a tyrosinase plus(t-plus) albino. The eyes are deep ruby-red, correct?

The pupils are jet black. Isis are golden yellow. The snake changed a lot as it aged. Can't wait to see the hatchlings!

That is a very interesting snake! Could we possibly get a closeup of the eyes? They do look ruby red in the pic - but could be lighting or distance. I am in agreement with Doug - looks like a Tyrosinase positive albino, from this pic.

This is the best pic I have of the eye. Side by side it looks exactly like the eye of a normal female or any other normal snake as far as that goes. He has now bred with three het females. Now I'm going to pump the gals with mice and keep my fingers crossed!
