Ovulation

waspinator421 Mar 12, 2010 12:10 AM

I may have had my first breeding of the year for BRBs Wednesday night. I came home early on Thursday morning and checked on the BRBs. I saw Obsidian, my Hypo male, laying with Copper with his rear end sorta lazily wrapped around her and their tails were laying next to each other. They weren't mating, as Obsidian "ran" away shortly after I started investigating, but it looks like they may have been earlier!

Also, Copper's back half looked quite swollen so she may have been ovulating as well? Not sure, but it's still exciting!

I took a picture of Copper's fattiness. I'll get it posted soon and you guys can tell me what you think.

That's awesome Aubrey . I just went to your website to check out pictures of your frisky snakes, and I have to say that I'm jealous of your collection. You have too many beautiful animals to count. I also noticed that you're into aviation... I'm actually sitting here at Fort Rucker waiting for my Army flight school class to start. Earlier tonight, I was killing time by playing around on a full motion UH-60 flight simulator. Anyhow, grats on the start of your mating season and I'm looking forward to seeing Copper's fatty picture.

Thanks for the kind words, Paul! That's neat that you have a full motion simulator to play with, lol. We have a bunch of Blackhawks here at the airport that I work at. They seem to always be out flying around. Now that the warmer weather is coming, I have seen the F-16s out a lot more lately too. Now those are some FAST planes!!

Hey Aubury i live near an AFB and i too sometimes get black hawks flying right over the house and even those Osprays, those big propelled planes that rotate so it can land like a helicopter (i love seeing those)

i worked on a house the was right there by the base to and saw alot of F22s (i think thats what they where) doing take off and landing drills, really cool to see them bank straight up hard right off the ground almost
