Hi Guys,

Any idea, what the following is;

Maybe not a Milksnake, but I'm sure you guys will help me out. My first geuss is a Variable King L.m.mexicana.

Definitely not the greatest of photos for positive ID purposes..LOL!, but that is exactly what looks like to me too, a L.m.mexicana.

At least what I can see of it

A Nuevo Leon, or "Variable" king is a L.m.thayeri, and a San Luis Potosi is L.m.mexicana. From looking at the thin saddles and long nuchal blotch on the nape, it looks to be more San Luis Potosi(L.m.mexicana) than anything else. But some better shots would be needed for anything more absolute I think.

If you can get some better defined shots(top of head and full body, and better exposed), post it over on the king forum and you can get a more input on a positive ID too from others like J. Lassiter, etc...

My mistake Doug! I should just stick with my Triangulum eh! I was asking on behalf of a friend on a UK forum.

I've asked for some more photos, but nothing. Think there settle with l.m.mexicana

Thanks again,
Scott
