Wow. That is some pretty amazing stuff! I wish the pictures had labels though. What were those long-bodied rodents with the white bellies?

I love the lucy retic! Can you get those here in the States?

not sure on the rodents...it had the latin name, but i didn't recognize it...i think they're from Africa though.

as for the retic, go to Bob Clarks site he has all info on them.....they originated from Europe if i'm correct.

Fiji Island Iguanas? Interesting! I thought those were protected!

Pitoon Mar 16, 2010 10:18 AM

>>Fiji Island Iguanas? Interesting! I thought those were protected!

They are protected…..but “someone” retrieved some animals and it all started from there. Once LTC “Indexed” animals produce captive bred offspring…..it changes everything….CITES can be requested for CB animals….. think about all the animals that are Australian…..they have a no import/export on animals…..but there’s probably more CB Aussie animals than there is in Australia outside of Australia!!!

If you do some searching you will find the story on Fiji’s…..

Did you happen to see World of Reptiles booth? Do you remember who had the Gargoyle, it was at the end in a blue container. They were from England. Also, I know I could look it up, but what is the exchange rate, euro to dollars. Just a rough guess of what 3000 euro would be in dollars is good for me. Thanks Mike

Warren_Booth Mar 16, 2010 02:22 PM

I would imagine the gargoyle, and any other animal in teh blue tubs is from Darren Biggs at Crystal Palace Reptiles in England. He has linked with Kevin McCurley.

Mike,
sorry, i've been to the Hamm show multiple times, i don't know who is where, but i know where is who....LMAO!!!!

really, it's to crazy to remember where each person is at.....however most vendors that are regulars to that show are always in the same place ie have the same tables...so if "World of Reptiles" are regulars.....then chances are i did see them.

Warren is correct...the last several pics are from Crystal Palace Reptiles "Darren" is a regular importer from NERD. Warren should know him since they're practically neighbors.

As for the exchange rate that weekend was $1 = €0.72....so €3000 would = $4167. For quick exchange rates go to www.xe.com just minus about 2 cents from their rates and that should be about right. Best bet would to email them and ask about the Gargoyle.

Thanks for looking!

I was curious where the gargoyles came from, and the price. I have a pair. I knew some had gone to England. I didn't know how many breeders had produced them, or how rare they might be. 2995 euro is more than I thought it would be.

Thanks again for the pictures, Mike
