Where are you all finding these brilliantly colored collared lizards? The only ones I've ever seen before entering this forum where the ones that "kofseattle" has pictures of in a post just below, and around here they are just labled as Eastern collared lizards. But in this forum I see very colorful collards. So are these natural collareds from a different area or is somebody messing with nature. And where do you get them? My wife loves the collared lizards and I may want to hunt one down. Any info would be great!

Ken's lizard are only a couple months old, and come from an awesome line of adults. They usually don't start to color really nice until last during their first year of life. Ken's will get bluer and bluer, until it starts to look more like this...

Although that above is not the father of his lizard, he should show a more intense blue coloration than that guy.

Shown below is the actual father of Ken's lizard, so he has a lot to look forward to.

Will Wells (wwwwells) has the best looking captive bred lizards I have seen, as you will see when you look at his post regarding Hercules. I have had some of his aquaflame males before, and can attest for their color.

The lizards I currently post, with lots of color, are ones that I have collected myself. I got them when they were very young, so they would have a much greater chance of survival.

Eve currently has some eggs right now, possibly Will, and John Styner may even have a young male left that will look very similar to the one pictured above (second pic). Find one of his e-mails and shoot him a message to find out availability.

Best of luck in your quests. I hope to have some offspring from the first pictured lizard by early next spring. The other male aquaflame I currently have have some nice blue, but not much yellow yet. Hopefully, he will continue to get the yellow head into next year as well. He is getting some right now, but mostly on his throat. This is Azul...

LOL. I wish that she would have warmed up to her when I first introduced them but no luck. So they've got separate bedrooms until spring comes. = P
