Blk Pewter Ivory

anthony james mc Mar 17, 2010 05:21 AM

Was wondering if this has been made yet. I think crossing a Black Pastel Yb with a Pastel Ivory (or Super Pastel YB would do) would line this up pretty realistically ( would be 1 in 8 odds I believe, not super easy but not horrible odds). I have a hunch it may make for an interesting looking Ivory. I think the Ivory like the Super Mojave makes for a nice base to add color (and possibly pattern to some degree) back into. Looking back at it all now I'm glad I gravitated towards the "dirty" white snakes instead of the "clean" white Supers! Guess dirty isn't always a bad thing, lol!

Don't think it has Anthony -- at least not been posted that I have seen?

The Black and Cinny Pastel x Y.B. combos have been done. I have done some mixing and matching with a few males this season and may end up with one or both -- or neither!!

Like any of the Super white/dirty white snakes, how much pattern AND color they adopt from another gene is a crap-shoot. Good luck with what you decide. Hope your year is going well!!

Hey Bill, that 's kinda what I figured. I have a real nice female Black Pastel Yb I got on a trade last fall and was just thinking a Pastel Ivory male would work nice on her. Do you or any of you have a good pic of a Blk Pewter Yb by chance?

My season is going decent but is running late for me which usually is the case when I have a pretty good year previously. Hope all is falling into place well for you as well!

No pics of Pewter Y.B. here -- sorry! I am running my Streak and Pastel Ivory through some girls. I could get a Pewter Y.B. the hard way -- 1 in 8.

I am having an early year. Already have 8 clutches on the ground and another 25 girls have ovulated. Had 3 nice clutches this week -- Cajun Butter x WC Yellow Belly(6 eggs), Special x Cinny (5 eggs), and the first of what I hope will be 4 Vin Russo Het Clown x Het Clown clutches (5 eggs). May, June, and July will be busy here to say the least!!!

The rain we have had in So Cal this year has been nice for breeding -- usually a DESERT here with little weather. lol

Take Care!! Bill

Anthony
