I have a female who im pretty positive ovulated and had her prelay shed. She had went off feed like 3 weeks ago right before her "prelay shed". So I hadn't tried offering her food since. I went to check on her today and she is acting very hungry. Will a gravid female eat if she is really as far along as I think she is? Is there any danger in feeding her? She is a big girl 4200grams and never refuses food so when she did I figured it was for good reason now im not so sure. I talked to a friend who breeds balls and he says that sometime when you have really big girls their ovulation's aren't as visible? I have a few other females in similar situations. I have seen several girls locked up with at least 2 different males often since the beginning of October. I know that at least one of my males is proven. Another question I have is how important is the light cycle when breeding ball pythons? I guess im just looking for some comfort or advice. Last year I moved out of state in the middle of the breeding season and all the females I thought were building or gravid ended up absorbing the eggs and none of them went. Id love to see some pics of ovulation's and of females right before they lay so I have a better idea of what im looking for. Thanks for any help and best of luck to all this season!!
