i took in a rescue that had the same thing. after we had some test done we found that it was an absess. he had to have surgery and is still on and off antibiotics. its crazy, his is in the same spot, but it was bigger. if you want more info i will post it, just tell me

Wow that is pretty crazy!, an abcess huh? how does one of these abceses form? is it from improper husbandry or does it just happen? , and also how much did the surgery cost?(dont get me wrong ill spare no expense for my baby, but i was just wondering)

thanks for all the help man, i really appreciate it.

....it could also be occlusion of the lacrimal duct but this usually leads to bulging of the spectacle. Small abcess' such as these often arise spontaneously but injury is a frequent cause, or sometimes an "ingrown" tooth. Lancing is not difficult but every case is different. Scott J. Michaels DVM
