Can i use a critter keeper cage with top..about 6 in high...10 or 12 in wide and about 20 or 24 in long to keep them in?

How many for how long?

I will say that if you are breeding them that the deeper is likely better since they multiply better with many layers of crating to live in....likel they fill the layers.

You may want to slick a layer near the top too as babies may fit out of the lid. Again, easier to use something deeper that will accomodate a layer of petroleum.
