Cal kings from the coastal region are yellow and brown or yellowish creame and brown. Inland in the desert areas Cal kings are black and white or brown and white.
So a desert Cal king has white bands and the coastal phases have yellow instead of white.
Wildcaught desert phase Cal kings do have yellowish underbellies or the sides are a yellow to creame.Basocally the white is on the top portions of the bands and it fades to a cream and/or yellow. Through selective breeding efforts these yellow/cream aras have been bred out and what you see today are very white WHITE areas. So wildcaught desert cal kings are easy to tell apart from captive bred.bReal nice white ones from the wild are very hard to come by and are rare.
