how old is my snake

wynterborne Mar 18, 2010 08:22 PM

I got this snake in Aug from a pet shop. I love her to death and so do the kids. But we have no idea how old she is can anyone help us out?

If you got her in August, I would say about two years old. But it's hard to say. Good luck.

this is a pic of her when we got her she was tiny.

8 to 10 months old.

Only way to tell for sure is to cut her open and count the rings.

Hahahaha!
I was going to post the exact same thing! You beat me to it!

Assuming she has grown correctly and been fed right, I'd go with 8-10 months as well.

LOL!

I was going to say,

"Your snake is nearly as old as that photo with the bare belly in it."

not more than 12 months that's for sure.

that pic you posted when it was small looks to be not more than a couple weeks old.

Didn't you ask about the possible age of this snake about a month ago?

Either way, I would say it is nearly its first year of life...assuming the pet store just bought a bunch of captive hatched baby imports last summer.

It depends on how much it eats. I have seen really good eaters at 12months look as big as bad eaters that are two years...
