I posted my initial reaction to it on youtube. Email me if you want to see it.
I'll post more reactions to it once I set up bins in it and test it more.

It is alright to post links to youtube videos in the forum, providing the video doesn't contain anything that is against the Terms of Service.

Unless the video is nothing but a commercial to get people to buy the product, it is alright to post the link.

All of these mini-fridge and coolers that both heat & cool work because of something called a peltier module. Look it up. When electricity is applied 12-15vdc one side of device gets very hot and the other side gets very cold. They also work in reverse, if you apply heat or cold to the device it generates a DC voltage. You can pick these chips/devices up for $10-$50 based on size and if they come with heatsinks & fans. You can control them with AC/DC converters with Helix or Herpstat.

Thanks for the video. Can you tell us how many egg boxes it will hold. Also are you planing on putting the max egg boxes in with substrate and than checking the temps in each egg box? I would love to know how that turns out for you.

I can if you would like.
I'm only going to have 2-3 clutches this year, but I can fill it to the max.
I need to find egg boxes that fit. I found these GREAT sterilite boxes at Walmart...got them home...burned some small holes in them...and found they didn't fit. (Stupid me)

I'll shoot part two when I find some boxes. I MIGHT use chinese food containers. I have a ton, and they will fit. Problem is they will only fit 3-4 eggs per container IF I get to the eggs before they stick.

I have not used them or know where to buy them, but some breeders use the really large deli tubs that are round and I think they would fit better in that incubator. I am sure someone reading this may know where you could pick some up. Thanks for the info again. I am looking forward in hearing how it temps out with tubs.

Actually that is what I was thinking...the problem is I could only find them in like...100 quantities for more than I wanted to pay.

Maybe I'll just go to Stop and Shop or something and buy a buttload of potato salad. Haha.

Costco uses them for their salads and soups....Maybe you could sweet talk a few from the employees there. Worth a try. Go though a store manager. I am sure they would give you some.

Not sure if we have a local Costco...but we have a BJ's.
Similar set up.

I'll track down some containers this week and get the video up. I bought some vermiculite today.
