07 Summit Hypo Female

LeeMatthew Mar 19, 2010 02:10 AM

Here is some pics of "Drusilla" my 07 Summit Hypo from Joe Rollo and Jeff Carr. She has a mellow demeanor and GREAT color. She is just so small(about 4 feet) disspite regular feedings. I would like to try and breed her late next season possibly. Any advice (or examples) for breeding small columbian females? Thanks

She is only 3, so in another year or two she should be good to go. One of my girls is only 5', maybe 5.5' and 8 years old, I did grow her slow but the last 3 years was feeding her heavy to see if she'd put on length.. nope she just got fat like a ball python (lol). She is currently gravid, she looks tiny to me and I was surprised it even took, but as long as the snake is mature and has a healthy size and muscle tone, I think they will do fine just as good as their 6 and 7' cousins.

Good luck!
