What is the general view of what weight female should be to breed. Thanks
I find that females will breed at 125 grams and as young as 14 months old,but thats not really suggested,i add my females into my breeding program at 175 grams and 16 months old with the fact that they will put on 25 to 40 grams during the breeding process.

Well that is pretty much to your taste.
Me myself being open minded have bred them from 100 pounds and on up. I tend to go a bit heavier when patron is around, so heavy that I'd like to not say. Wait I think this is the wrong forum....HHHMM...
I know people that breed their hogs from 115 grams and up. I like to shoot for 250 but that is just personal preference. There isn't any data proving any wieght wrong or having long term ill effects just a lot of different opinions.

MOST HOGS WILL BREED WITH IN A YEAR IF FED RIGHT, AND WELL adapted, just my opinion.
I go for around 200g. better safe than sorry. and thats 200g before breeding, not hoping for after. The larger females will not only be safer to breed but will produce more offspring. My female Im breeding this year was 205g when I put her in and is now 220g a few weeks later.
we do also prefer 250g
