Really wanted to go herping today but chores got in the way. So I decided to do a field trip in my living room and guess what I found under this perfect habitat where I can usually always find treasures! LOL!

Upon lifting up the flat found this beautiful specimen:

She just ate and so the photo session was very brief.

i KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!

After all you live right smack dab in the middle of their habitat.

LOL!! Sound how my herp trip ended on Saturday. We got skunked in the field and ended up visiting a couple of pet shops in the area to see if they had anything new and interesting LOL!!

I hope you left it as you found it. Rule #1 with flipping - replace as it was. Beautiful king!

Today while moving this old piece of dead wood as part of yard cleanup:

A little toad

and a couple of ensatina salamanders.

I've got gobs of these ensatinas under almost every dead log or rotting lumber on my property. They are fun to keep for awhile and feed crickets to, but must be released before the weather gets hot, as they are cool weather creatures. Today I just put them back and put the old dead wood back in place as well, since it seems to be a Critter Hilton of sorts.
