can my ball python take two mice ? heres a pic of how big he is

Feeding always depends on the size of the snake compared to the size of the prey item. Prey, such as mice and rats, should be as big around as the widest part of the snake's body. This is a single feeding size once a week. If the mice/rats you are offering are significantly smaller, say about 1/2 that size, then I would recommend offering two once a week.

im just feeding him one normal sized mouse a week right now hes seems like he could take another but i dont want to over feed

Depending on how big a "normal" sized mouse is, that might be fine for him for now. I say that because I can purchase "adult" mice from Petco that are about 25 grams, which is 10-12 grams lighter than what I classify an "adult" mouse in my breeding colony, and most of those are still growing until they level out at about 45 grams.

Anyways, just look at the diameter of the mouse you are feeding your snake. If is about half his girth, I would add another once a week. If it is a little bigger than half, but he is still hungry, you can consider feeding him one every 4-5 days instead. I tend to skip a meal every once and a while when I am doing this to give them a chance to empty out. If you ever feel like you are over feeding, you can pretty much always cut back. Ball pythons do fine missing a meal or two if necessary. Let us know how he does
