I am looking for some suggestions on where to feed my ball python. It is about 3' long and is housed in a 40L tank with all of the amenities.
I have been taking it out to handle it and when it is time to feed it, I put it into a 10 empty tank. I dont want it to associate being fed with my hand coming into the tank and also wanted to find a neutral ground for feeding. This has worked ok but I think the snake is too big for this small tank.
How can I tell if it Is too small for the snake to feed in?
I have also tried using a clear plastic tote to feed it in but the mice/rats try to jump out; one actually made it out.
I only have the one snake and want to avoid having another large tank around just for feeding. Any suggestions are appreciated.
