Got some updated pics and metrics.
He's now 73 inches, 2700 grams (6 lbs) at 2 years and 8 months old. Never refused a meal but I don't feed him often either. Hopefully he'll get big some day.

Thanks Randy, he's certainly a handful.
Say, I sent you a message via KS from another thread. It wasn't about that thread though. Did you get it? I'm interested in flavs.

I got a kick back when I attempted to respond. I tried from this post earlier this morning but don't know if it's the same address or not.

Thanks Randy, there's something hinky about the KS messaging system. I've found it unreliable but maybe it cause my email server thinks it's spam???
Anyway, you can email directly to my KS user name @drakeinteractive.com
Hope to hear from you soon.

The very existence of flamethrowers means that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves..."You know, I really want to set those people over there on fire...but I'm just not close enough to get the job done!
"Hopefully he'll get big some day"
Yeah I had to zoom in to make sure it wasn't one of your alterna
So, you feeding that thing gravy or what?
LOL, touche Spanky! Quite frankly, I only been feeding him about 3 Small Rats every 3 weeks or so for probably over a year now. And during his formative years, didn't push at all, but he was a hearty feeder..unlike others I've know
He's just got the "monster gene" I guess.
Funny, until just recently he was extremely shy, even when I let him out he'd just go to a dark corner and stay there for days. Just lately though he's come out of his shell and cruises the room high and low...maybe just that time of year. Anyway, point of that being that since he's been so sluggish I've reduced his feeding to avoid obesity issues.
Aside from the nice compliments regarding his looks, he's probably the ugliest P. d. d. around. His whole rear half is heavily tipped with mucky greenish centers...no where near like a nice clean, bright ground color that some have.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"... What I love about these snakes is how similar but very different they all seem to be. That's one nice looking snake to this "beholder".
Brad, he's awesome! Great pics!

Yeah Brad, that thing is really nice. I like the way he's turning out. I just hope my pair get that big, no matter what they look like.

Beautiful snake...I wish my little 09 females would put some size on them. They are finicky bastards when it comes to feeding. They are both eating pinky heads every 10 days because of a regurge issue. They are really slacking in growth rate. In contrast, My 09 bulls are almost three feet long by now. I will post pics in a few days.

Man, those are beauties! How big?
The ruthveni outcross is 1600 grams at just over 5 feet and the P. d. deppei is just over 6 feet at whopping 2700 grams (6 lbs.). They're both males but seem to like chilling together sometimes.

Man Brad, I love that deppei. I don't know why you don't think he is attractive. I like the subtle shades.

Thanks Matt. I really should give him more credit
...the first time I saw the following pic I had never even heard of deppei...it totally rocked my world around!

I know, Vivid has some really nice animals. I guess that's why they're rather pricey. That is one of the most beautiful deppei I have ever seen. I'll send you some pics of my pairs parents.

Matt Kauffman
Both my deppei are from Vivid, as well as my Baird's and a Hondo.
I really enjoy his treatment of the species and all the quality images. Also his explicit documentation of his available animals. He does a very classy job of it. I also enjoy his "het for nothing" policy which is inline with my own general aesthetics, not that I'm down on morphs, just not so much my thing and I like knowing there's reliably pure stuff out there.

I could not agree more! I have ordered many a snake from Vivid, and have been more than pleased!!

Genesis 1:1
Does he live in your room free to roam about? I see in a later photo his friend has joined him in the little plastic box.
I wish I could let mine roam around free but I have no place in my two room cabin to do that, and cats share the cabin, and if the snakes ever got outdoors they would be toast.
I share a house with a couple friends and so keep all my snakes in my room. They all have there own place but I let them out for extended periods if I'm pretty sure they're empty
...unfortunately I don't always guess right.
Sounds pretty cramped but I would probably do it the same if I had the whole house to myself. Once you spend so much time with the animals you start to get a sixth sense about them and they become extremely tame and confident. One problem though is that the start to expect to be out all the time and put up a fuss when they have to go back in.
Bottom line, I pretty much live with my snakes, like right now Diego {picture taken now} is crawling right over my computer screen as I write this...
